Hello,
I have installed this app from playstore,

I noticed that this app has an activity called com.rk.timemeter.QuickGlanceActivity which I would like to execute.
If I am to run this particular activity through Tasker, how am I supposed to do that. Please guide.
Many thanks.

There are several ways this can be done with Tasker.

Try the launch app action. Make sure you check the 'All option.

If it is not listed there then you can send a intent to start it. You can use taskers 'send intent' action or a shell 'am start' command.

Note you need to long-click to access the individual activities within
the app.

Least a year ago I think. Did you not wonder what the little +'s were for ? :-)

Tasker launch app option on long pressing didn't have the activity which I was looking for. However, secure settings launch app activity had that one. I don't know why Tasker wasn't detecting. You can check it out. see the attachments. The first one is using Tasker where Tasker is not detecting that activity which Secure settings plugin is able to detect.

Thanks for the info.

I tried a new method to get the list of activities and it gave a lot more, but most of
them are not 'exported' meaning they can't be accessed from outside the app
(gives a permission error when launching).

Only one of the extra ones was also exported:  HANDLESHARETEXTSTARTACTIVITY
and that didn't do anything when I launched it.

Which activity is it that you are selecting with Secure Settings ? Possibly SS can launch
the non-exported ones when running as a system app, but Tasker wouldn't be able
to, so it wouldn't make any sense to show the not-exported activities.

OK, thanks, Tasker can't run that one anyway since the developer doesn't
export it (Tasker would need to be a system app).
