When in my car I connect my phone to my stereo's AUX port to stream
Slacker and also have it linked up via bluetooth for calls (bluetooth
music quality is poor). How can I have tasker disable the headset
without me having to physically disconnect the headset it to receive
phone calls? I've been going in circles looking for a solution. I
assume the basic algorithm would go as follows:

1. Incoming Call.

2. If headset connected, disconnect headset.

3. Call ended, reconnect headset.

Thanks in advance for any help, great program BTW!

Assuming you mean 'disable a BT headset', try the BT Voice action
(phone category) in the 1.1 beta (posted above in the forum) maybe.

You can't 'disconnect' a wired headset automatically, only ask Android
to use a BT one instead.

Thank you for your response. I actually meant a wired headset. But
would enabling a BT headset temporarily disable the wired headset even
if it's still plugged in? That's what I'm looking for. Someway to
disable the wired headset without physically disconnecting it from the
phone so I can hear incoming bluetooth calls. Thanks.

You may be able to do this with the standard OS... not tested this in
particular, but of you connect both headsets, go to the BT Settings
and long press on the BT headset. You should then get an option to
select which channels you want the headset to pick up, ie media and/or
phone audio. If you select only phone, then media should playback
through the wired headset and calls should route to the BT headset.

Thank you for your reply. Finally got around to trying what you
suggested and it worked! It surprises me more people are unaware of
that options. It's kinda hidden to be honest. Now I need to figure out
how to make it only connect the phone audio via bluetooth
automatically when they pair.

You shouldn't have to do anything - the setting is per device and
should persist after disconnection and reconnection to the same BT
device...
