Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to disconnect a specific BT
device, without stopping BT service (:) ?

Thank's for your answer.

If Pent says no, You can do it in non-traditional way :) Just leave the range of BT device. Yes, I can't leave my car on the go :)

Is this still not possible? I've been able to setup a task to connect to a specific device, now I'd like to be able to disconnect from that specific device. On a related note, it might be nice to have the current Bluetooth device ID stored as a Tasker variable.

There could be multiple, but request noted.

With the recent Secure Settings update, disconnecting a specific BT device is now possible.

With the new version of Secure Settings installed, add a Secure Settings plugin action to a task. Edit the configuration and select BT Connection under the Actions list. Select the BT device you want to manage from the list. Hit the button in the middle of the screen until is says Disconnect and hit the save button. Hit the check button to save the action. It might be obvious, but you can use this function to enable a specific BT device as well. I used this to create a task shortcut which connects to my home stereo when pressed the first time and disconnects when pressed the second time.

On what phone are you doing this ?

I can't get secure settings to force a connection to my cars' stereo.
BT is automatically turned on when I leave certain network cells, but my car seems to only scan for devices the first 2 minutes or so ...

If BT is turned on later, I have to manually connect. I want to do this with tasker on my Galaxy S2, but so far with no success.
I have tried BT auto connect and secure settings ...

How do you manually connect?  If you have to do something with your car's stereo then Tasker probably won't be able to help.  Otherwise, you may just have to toggle BT off, wait a few seconds and toggle it back on.

I'm using a Verizon Galaxy Nexus. I'm not sure what the problem is with your car stereo and your phone. The device I'm connecting to is a Belkin Bluetooth Music Receiver (http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F8Z492) and it's constantly looking to pair with a device. I haven't tried Secure Settings in any other BT application. If you turn on BT on your phone after your stereo has already finished looking for a device, are you able to manually pair the phone to the stereo? If so, I believe Secure Settings should be able to accomplish the same thing through Tasker. I'm not sure it's required in this case, but does Secure Settings have root access on your phone? Is the Secure Settings helper application installed?

You can Connect/Disconnect specific device through Secure Settings plugin for Tasker.
Create new task and add an action to it from "Plugin" -> "Secure settings".
In configuration of this action expand "Actions" and select "BT Connection".
There you can define - what to do with which bt device.
