Hi!
I wanted to create myself a widget with minimalistic text that displays unanswered calls/SMS/EMails on my WidgetLocker-screen
There is a number of recipies for that on the internet, but as far as I can only tell they only display the number of missed items but no information about the items (mostly I think by getting a notification event from the application in question and incrementing a counter). I hardly ever have more than one call I missed at a time so the number of calls is irrelevant to me. I want to know whom I missed (whether I have to bother to unlock my phone to call back)
I understand that for instance the GMail application doesn't allow other applications to access EMail (not an unsensible decision).
So my idea was: the information in the notifications is quite enough for me ("Missed call from +43666", "Email from jobs#
apple.com", ...). Is there a way in Tasker to get the contents of a notification (Title and or text) into a variable? Then I could transfer that to Minimalistic Text and be happy.
If this doesn't work: is this because it is technically not possible in Android or because no such feature is implemented in Tasker?
