Send SMS not working with 2 SIM cards

Hi,

I cannot send SMS through Tasker.

I couldn't find any solutions in Reddit or anywhere else.

I think it could be due to the dual SIMs in my phone.

I have a OnePlus 3T with 2 SIM cards running Android 8.0.

My messaging app is Google Messages.

The task I run is as follows:

Test SMS (17)

A1: Send SMS [ Number:+18190000000 Message:My test message Store In Messaging App:Off ] 

I've attached the debug log of the task.

If someone has an idea of what is happening, let me know.

Hi,

No I don't get any errors.

But if I create the following profile, I see the message "SMS Failed":

Profile: Sms Failure Alert (18)
Event: SMS Failure [ Recipient:* ]
Enter: Sms Fail (19)
A1: Flash [ Text:SMS Failed Long:Off ]

So I know that something is wrong, but I cannot determine what.

If you have any tricks to further debug the issue, let me know.

If I have a two SIM phone but only use one should this be an issue? I think most of my auto replies are going, but not always. Trying to figure out if it's my profile versus the SIM issue. I'll try this version as well.

It works great! I can pick either of the SIM cards.

The SMS is going through now.

As I wrote above, I only have one sim card but after this update I noticed that more of my auto replies are going. I don't know if it was the latest version or my profile just got matched.

Joao - I figured out why auto replies were not working in all cases: some of my received texts were group texts, which I believe are MMS rather than SMS, and I had Tasker checking for only received SMS. Duh. I think I switched from checking Any to SMS a while back because there were issues using Any. I'll let you know if this is an issue. Thx.
