I'm looking for a way to detect inactivity of the device. My goal is
to let Tasker start the clock app if the device isn't touched for e.g.
a minute (and if connected to the power). Similar to a screen saver.

I've searched a lot to find a solution. Has anybody an idea?

Rudolf is correct. However, the display goes off after inactivity. You
could switch to the Clock App on a Display Off event I guess.

Maybe have a minute counter that counts down. At zero, start clock
app. Define gestures so that gestures will reset minute counter back
up?

You may be interested in Screebl. It monitors the orientation of your
phone to determine when the screen should be on. There is a Screebl
plug-in for Tasker. I have specific tasks triggered if the device is
in motion.
