HTC Desire Z Camera Button

I'm using 1.0.12 and the Camera Button on my Desire Z is not addressed
by Tasker. Under notification, the profile is not activated when the
camera button is long pressed. When long pressed the camera comes up
as usual. Is this something that will be fixed soon? Thanks.

Sorry to bump this thread, but the Desire Z does have a hardware
camera button in contrast to the Desire. It is indeed not recognized
in Tasker. Is there any way around this?

I also would like to use the camera button on my Desire Z to tell me
the current time while the screen is off but I cannot get it to work.

Or is there another simple solution to hear the current time without
unlocking the screen (handy if you want to know what time it is
without opening your eyes)?
