Hi all,

I have 2 Android devices that are connected by bluetooth. Also my device 1 has Wifi sharing activated and device 2 is connected to it in Wifi.
I installed AutoRemote on both and connected them.

With Tasker, I send a message from device 2 to device 1. And the message take long time (about 40 seconds) to reach.
See the capture of the log page attached

Why? Is there any reason of that? How to fix it? Is it because of any timeout of Wifi or Bluetooth?

Thank you for your help

how are you sending it by? (bt, wifi)
look there to troubleshoot what may needs to be changed. Is 40 seconds really that long?

joaomgcd, the screenshots that I attached are not the logs?

Marta, yes it is really that long (see the time on the screenshots). I actually don't know which way (BT or Wifi) is used to send the message. I think I activated both

yes, but you need to enable the System Logs option in settings :)

The problem is that it's trying to send through BT and Wifi. Open the devices screen, click on the Wifi and Bluetooth icons for that device so that it disables them. That should make it quicker.

Yes it makes it quicker, but I don't receive any more the message on my phone.
How is it suppose to be send if Wifi and BT are disabled? Why BT doesn't work to send the message? I would prefer use this way to send it

Thank you

I think the key is to enable one or the other. not disable both.

If you want to receive the mesage through BT you have to use the AutoRemote BT action on the receiving device to enable the BT receiving service there :)

I didn't know that I had to activate BT action. I activated it and also deactivated WiFi and the device list, however it still take time.

You can see the logs attached. There is still an error "couldn't send through Bluetooth". Why?

Thanks

you have 2 devices, on the sending one, use bt. on the receiver use the action bt. just add jao said.

did you do that? i think that is what he suggested.

Yes I did. And on the receiver device I can see the notification that AutoRemote is ready to receive BT messages

Can it be because I only have trial version? I wanted to test before buying

do both devices have BT enabled and are paired via BT? and does the recipient device have persistent notificationon in the bluetooth listener service running?

Did you enable the AutoRemote BT service on the receiving device?

Long click the device in your device list and chooose "Set Bluetooth device".

also try refreshing device info and restarting the BT listener.

Is there a entry in the Bluetooth log in AutoRemote that says "BEGIN", "service started" ?

Thank for your help Marta :)

My devices are correctly paired (device2 is able to play in speaker my device1 music/calls).
On my device1, I have the persistent "AutoRemote Bluetooth Servcie" notification "Can receive message via BT". I can see the "BEGIN" and "Service started" in the bluetooth logs (see device1 screenshot attached.
I set the Bluetooth device in the AutoRemote device list, on both devices. It didn't help.
I tried to refresh. In the logs I can see that commands are sending, but failed (see screenshot device2 attached)

Just as a remember, I want to send message from device2 to device1 (named OnePlus in the logs)

Thank you

Try with airtask plugin, I found that it's a bit faster for me.

Good news, it works now. Maybe AutoRemote needed to be relauched and devices to be reconnected
Thank you all for your help :)

Just a last question. Is there any way in AutoRemote to deactivate the notification each time that a message is received?
Thanks

I have deactivated Toast In and Toast Out, but I don't see where deactivated the Notification. I can only choose the ringtone of the notification

Hi! Sorry for the delay.

Thank you very much for helping out Marta and the others! :)
Yoan, maybe you're pushing a notification and not a message? :) What does the notification look like?

Thanks for your answer joaomgcd. Welcome back :)

I actually send message, not notification.
See attached the notification that I got on my received device. But I realize now that this is probably because of the Lite Version. Isn't it possible to remove this Lite Version advise?

Using it since several weeks now, I sometime got the error "read failed, socket might closed or timeout" as well (see attached). And if I try again a moment later without changing anything, it's working.
What can make the sending message fail?

Thank you in advance
Regards,
