I'm trying to get a Notification with multiple actions going using Tasker 4.0m (latest Play version) on a factory image, unrooted Galaxy Nexus.

Here's the Notify Command with a some text / file names changed:

Notify
   Title Item A / Item B
   Text [none]
   Icon [barcode from stock iconset]
Number 0, Permanent [checked], Priority 5, if [none], label [none]
Actions: [icon from stock iconset] "Show" > Open File "/Download/image.jpg"
[correct application icon] "Run"   > Load App "Some Application"

A few issues I'm having:
1) If I hit the "Show" button, the image loads in behind the notification area and doesn't hide the notification area; however, clicking "Run" will hide it.  Is there any way to close the notification area?  The "Status Bar" action is "unavailable for my device", though I know it's possible as GO Launcher can open and close the notification area on command.

2) The "Run" action icon shows properly while looking at the task, but the notification itself is a big exclamation mark in a red triangle.  Should I assume that I can ONLY use stock iconset for this?

3) Are there any more icons I can use, or perhaps a custom jpg/png that I made?  All the Tasker icons that I've tried appear small.

With regards to the "colapse notification bar" not being available for your device, this may be a bug that pent can look into as I expect it should be available on all devices and I know someone else reported this during the beta testing. (you can use a workaround (emulate "back" key) but this requires root.

Only inbuilt icons or "Ipacks" can be used for the main notification icons. search the play store for "ipack"

Only inbuilt icons can be used for notification action buttons.

I have the same problem with Status Bar not being available. Galaxy Nexus, 4.2.2; Tasker 4.0

I had disregarded this as being the usual 'add a permission to spoil
the fun' problem, but investigated a little further, seems they
changed the function names when they introduced the split-bar
(notifications and settings). Will ammend code.

How did you manage to select an application icon ?

When I try it just allows selection from the builtin icons ?

When selecting "launch app" as the action, it inherits the apps icon.
