Hello,

There are so many
tasker-javascript function but I did not see any notifiy function (http://tasker.dinglisch.net/userguide/en/javascript.html)
Why?

I bypass the problem by creating a specific task to notify and I give it good parameters

But in future versions of tasker, it would be interesting to include this javascript function

Thank you

For clarification, I'd like this so we have a way to send notifications to Android Wear directly from a javascript.

@OP (bit late): can't remember why that was skipped, will have a look

I'm not up on Android Wear, how would you accomplish that ? Is it something you can accomplish with the
current 'native' Tasker Notify actions ?

Thanks!  Yes, plain old notify works fine with Android Wear.  I use it now, except I have to use a separate task.  It'd be cleaner if everything was in a single javascript.

A bit off topic, but since this is used for Android Wear, i'm wondering how long the text can get for showing on the watch?

I have a Samsung Gear 2 Neo myself, and the native notification handler of the watch, only shows 140 characters.
But there are custom apps for the watch, to show more text of a notification. This is what i use which tasker.

"living lights are" shows up without clicking on the watch.  "Living lights are off. Dining" shows up after swiping up the notification on the watch.  The full message should be "Living lights are off. Dining lights are already off."

I didn't try autonotify though and think this short limit is due to the tasker notify method.  I know for text messages, it shows almost six statements of "Living lights are off. Dining lights are already off." as just I tested it.  This limit appears to affect the android notifications on my phone and watch the same.

Regardless, the real advantage to Android Wear is using google search/now to trigger Tasker Tasks and using Autonotify to create custom cards with pictures, buttons, etc...  I don't think this is possible on the Gear 2 without developing, but could be wrong.

I remember why now, it's because specification of the icon would be a pain.
