Android projector to auto switch to HDMI after turn on.

Hi all, I'm fairly new to tasker but I can see all the amazing things tasker has enabled on Android.

I own a Wando T6MAX projector.

The Android on it is absolute garbage but the image quality for the price is really good for the price. What I do is I power on the projector and literally only thins I use do on the android is change the source to HDMI from the settings with tasker. I will be looking to power on with Alexa some point so that will I will have no need for the remote.

I want to automate the process that is On boot > wait 5 secs > change source to HDMI.

I have sideloaded 2 versions of tasker.

net.dinglisch.android.tasker_4.9u5-5059_minAPI14(nodpi).apk

net.dinglisch.android.taskerm_6.0.9-5322_minAPI21(nodpi).apk

On 4.9u5 - I am able to allow all the permissions before the install but this version does not have the custom settings option to find the trigger to change the source.

On 6.0.9 or later - after the installation for tasker asks to Disable Helper Notifications but the android on the projector does not have a UI for this so cannot get into the settings to disable it.

Can anyone please advise.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me.

I cannot test if the custom settings  action will allow to switch it. I cannot install it as I cannot get past the "Before We Get Started" page as I cannot Disable Helper Notifications on the system sadly. 
I spoke to the of the product support team if there is a way to get around this but the response was "The machine only has the functions included in the settings, and has no other auxiliary functions or notification functions. Because it uses an ATV system"

What you could do just to test it would be to use the old Tasker and then use the AutoTools Secure Setting action which essentially does the same thing as the Custom Setting action in Tasker.

Could you do that?
