Using AutoNotification with Tasker, I know how to trigger an action when a certain notification is received.

However, I'd like to only trigger the action if the existing notification is not already present in the status bar; otherwise, I'd like the duplicate notification to be an effective no-op.

Is this possible?

You would need to keep track of the existing notifications to check if they are being posted when already existing.

Hope this helps.

I understand. But how do I determine whether a previously received notification is still present in the status bar?

You can check with the AutoNotification Query action for example.

Thank you for your contact.
