AutoInput - Automate Any App

Hi. I'm the developer of several Tasker plugins (AutoVoice, AutoRemote, AutoNotification, etc) and just released AutoInput.

Root is not required to use this plugin! :)

AutoInput is a Tasker plugin that allows you to automatically click buttons, write text in input fields and get text from other apps so you can do stuff like you see in the video :)

Play Store says this app is not compatible with my device...

SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-I9100, not rooted, Android 4.1.2, Tasker 4.5u1m

Is there anything you can do about this ? I would be very interested in the app....

Unfortunately AutoInput is only Android 4.3 and up. Sorry!

If we want an unlocked AutoInput, we have to download AutoApps, which only has a subscription option, correct? I purchased several of your other apps separately. Is a separate one-time purchase not available for AutoInput?

As you can see there, subscribing is totally optional :) You can always purchase apps separately.

Thanks for reply. I think when I first tried to unlock AutoInput I had to download AutoApps which made me assume I had to subscribe but when I tried to unlock AutoInput today after installing AutoApps I was able to purchase it separately. It just didn't work that way yesterday. ;-)

Is there any way to click on the result of a Google app search? I can enter key words into the search box and get the search results. However, I have not been able to click on any of the resultant links. Ditto for searches in the Dolphin browser.

Also, is there any way to type emter or press the search key on the keyboard?

Unfortunately you can't press keyboard keys without root. If you have root you have that option in the AutoInput Root Actions.

What do you mean exactly by "Google App Search"? You mean on the Google Play Store?

No,  I mean the Google Now app that comes standard on most Android phones. I can enter a string into the search box and click on one of the app's suggested searches. What I can't do is click on any of the results of the search.

After doing more research, I realize that this is probably because the app is displaying the results in a WebView. I read somewhere that Autoinput does not interact with WebView objects.

dude - i hate you for being so damn brilliant! :-)  I was so freaking annoyed that I could not enable/disable hotspot on my new droid turbo with Tasker (or any 3rd party app for that matter).  AutoInput just saved the day for me - and I've been stressing over this ever since I got my Droid Turbo 2 months ago!!!
