Im Looking for a way to upload photos to my Google drive and automatically delete them once the upload is successfully finished.
Can tasker hel nme with this?
I currently use syncronize ultimate for handling uploads of other types.
I've tried folder sync and found it a but lacking.
Really I'll be selecting which photos to upload manually.
My problem is. I upload a lot. To a shared folder. Picking and choosing what I share.
By the time I'm done I've forgotten which ones obe uploaded.
My idea being the photo is deleted once uploaded?

I've done a similar thing with Dropsync. The only difference is that Dropsync is for Dropbox. What you need is "AutoSync for Google Drive". Link below. It will do the same thing. It's free, and has tasker integration. It will do what you want in a single action. It will upload to G-Drive and delete after it does so. You just have to set it up within the App itself, then use it's tasker plugin within Tasker. Have fun.

Thanks for the suggestion Rory but thus isn't what I'm after
That app doesn't allow you to select photos. It only uploads new photos taken and is lacking options, units I'm missing something?

Any more suggestions?

What was it that you found missing from Folder Sync? It can also do what you want. It can delete the files after syncing, and you can use include filters to specify exactly what file types to sync. I feel that Folder Sync is very robust, and easier to work with than Synchronize Ultimate.

Ok, I missed manual select part. Create an empty folder, use that as your source location, and move the files you want to sync to that folder. Use tasker to monitor changes to the folder, and trigger the sync to run.

Autosync at Google Play does it very well, - when a file is uploaded to the folder you specify it will upload the file instantly, over any network that is availabe (good for a thief-protection-thingy implementation in Tasker so that  the phone captures a photo with the front camera and will upload it instantly to Google Drive with gps location, and doing that only when certain contitions meet, such as when your phone is not being connected to your smartwatch over bluetooth as well as home wifi and at the time when the "screen on" event occurs - screen goes on, etc.). Here's the link to the App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync&hl=en

(And it also allows option to delete the info from the phone after having uploaded it to Google Drive.)
