Make sure AutoInput's accessibility service is running. 

Both Tasker and AutoInput must have the Draw Over Other Apps permission enabled. 

AI is working correctly on my Samsung S9 with Android 10.

I made a small Profile of UI State to detect screen text and this is failing completely as well. No features of AI seem to work on this device.

I updated Tasker to the beta released 4 days ago and the same problem persists.

I'm not getting any messages about missing permissions. How would I check for these?

Can anyone think of anything else I can do to troubleshoot this?

I got misled by a permission description into thinking it wasnt relevant but it turned out to be the missing piece of functionality >.<

Checking my android 8 device showed it enabled and as soon as I duplicated that on the A10 I was in business
