Recording call - variable for outgoing number

I (think) I’m on a roll now… ;-)

I’ve managed to set up a profile to get Tasker to record all incoming
calls. Don’t know if this is the optimum way but this is what I’ve
done (and it works):

EVENT - Phone - Phone Ringing - [Call Number -*]
ACTION - Media - Record Audio - Source [Call Incoming] [File - /Tasker/
In/%CNUM %CDATE %CTIME

What I want to do now is the same but for all outgoing calls. I’ve set
the profile up (virtually) the same (destination as [/Tasker/Out/…)
but the variables (%CNUM %CDATE %CTIME) only refer to the number, date
and time of the last call received.

I could replace %CDATE with %DATE and %CTIME with %TIME but how do I
get the outgoing number into a user-defined variable (I presume that’s
what I’ll have to do)?

Or is this only record your voice, but not the other end?

2 sided (incoming) call recording works on my Wildfire

Short of using Tasker to place your calls for you, I can't think of
any way to set that information.

Nice ... I have tested this on my HTC Desire (stock ROM, 2.2 official
update).

The recording was OK. I could hear the both voices although not that
clear nor loud.

I wish the recording quality is a bit better, but probably this is
Android limitation?

Ok how did you get it to stop recording?
I got it set up like you explained but it continues to record after
The call is over !

Create a profile for "PHONE IDLE" event

And use Task = Stop audio recording

You might need a variable to check if it is recording or not.

I didn't need to. As soon as the call ended so did the recoding and
Tasker returned all settings to their previous state.

I must explitly turn off the audio recording.

I try to get this idea to work for myself, it just does not work
