Hi, One of my critical apps eventually fails unless you regularly go
to Settings, Apps, Manage Apps, and clear data. Can Tasker be
configured to perform this task automatically please ? Is it
possible ?

Cheers.

Only if you have root.

I saw in another thread Pent recommended using D-Pad commands to clear the app's data. Is this still the only way? Isn't there a 3rd-party plugin that can do this by now? Secure Settings doesn't have it.

Also, is the "Clear Data" command equivalent to deleting everything under an app's "/data/data" directory or is there something more to it?

Eh I'm sure secure setting has this. IIRC its under package options.

Hmm. I see this feature is only available in the Pro version of SS, which is why I didn't see it. Guess it's time to upgrade.

Thanks for the help, Jay.

If you have root and Superuser or SuperSU
you can use Run Shell with the command:  pm clear <package_name>
