I've been making a lot of scenes and I keep running up against two things that never seem to do exactly what I wished they would and I hope some sort of improvement can get placed on the todo list.

The scene menu element. I'm talking about when you add a new element and select "menu" and get the scrollable blue menu thing. This is the only real solution if you have a scene with 50 things to select and it works really well. But it wraps text labels at 9 characters, which is far too little, and resizing the menu doesn't do anything to help. The menu can be twice the width of the text and it will still wrap it at 9 characters and leave a bunch of unused blue space. The second line is always cut off vertically too, so anything over 9 characters is often unreadable. The menu can only be resized a certain amount too and it's hard to design a scene with an element that has a fixed max size. The improvements I'd like to see are to be able to set the height of menu blocks so you could have items with 2 or more lines for their labels, to have the text stretch to fill the menu horizontally when resizing it, no limit to the size, and custom colors instead of the blue. The mechanics of the menu are superb, but it's missing all the customization that everything else has.

Images in scenes. There are two ways to display images, and both work well and are very useful, but there is an "in between" that is missing. To display an image, you can either add an image element or a webview with the URL being a local or remote image. With the first, the image is shrunk down to fit inside the element, and with the second, it is full size and scrollable. With the first, a large image is shrink to a size that often makes it hard to see any detail. With the second, if the image is larger than your screen you see the upper left and have to scroll around to see the other sections, but you can only see sections at a time. Is there any way to incorporate a pinch to zoom image control? A ton of apps have the same image view controls as the gallery, you pinch to zoom in and out and a little (+|-) appears so you can tap that to zoom too, so maybe there is a built in image viewing API that could be used?

Mine don't work anything like that. As you can see, I made this one the full screen width and about 3 times as high as the blue area but the blue area never stretches to match, and the words are cut off.

I don't see how you got yours black either. The only options I see are the background color, but that is for everything except the blue area.

I edit the text edit, not the canvas. I stretch the canvas as wide as possible and also do the same for the text edit to match the canvas.

For black, I make the canvas color transparent and make the text edit background to black.

Are you using the menu element of text element? I can do that with the text element, but the menu element's only customization option is background color.

With the webview URL method you can apply style sheets to the <img> and use (+)(-) icons to zoom in and out.
style="width: 100%"

exactly what Amer said, you can edit the "Menu"  by stretching to fit the screen but unless you also edit the item background it will look like your screenshots. to edit the item background, simply tap on the menu element in "normal" mode and half way down the first screen you will see a thumbnail of the item background. tap it and you can edit it . simply increase its width. you can change icon position text size etc in this scene also.

Hope it helps
