First... I'm using tasker in german language so I translated the names
to english. They are maybe not exactly the same as in the english
tasker version

I'm running a Cyanogen Mod 9 beta (rooted) on my Samsung Galaxy S2

I'm planning to simulate some "clicks" and expected that the feature
Inputs>Trackball would be the right one for doing this.
I'd expect that such a trackball feature needs 2 basic infos:
the position (x,y relative or absolute) and the button event type
(left click, right click, ...)

The trackball command in tasker has only this selections:
up, down, left, right, press

So how do I have to use this?
I don't have a trackball in hardware so I don't see the current cursor
on the screen. I tested in doing some trackball up commands and then
one trackball press. I'd expect to see the system pull down menu from
android but nothing happened.

Please help.

Yes, it's not a trackball, it's more a cursor pad with a select button
in the centre.

The dpad changes the current focused UI element, which is illuminated
orange if there is one.

You need Input / Button (Menu) to call up the menu.

Then put in a Task / Wait action to give the menu time to show. Then
use Dpad down
to select a menu item then Dpad centre to select.

Aaaahhh...

Ok now it makes sense :-)

So there is no feature to give "mouse click" events?

Neither the Input/Button nor the Dpad seems to work on my Galaxy S2
with Cyanogenmod 9 (rooted ICS).

:-(

From the idea it would be a very useful feature for me.

ICS problem, hopefully fixed next version (I don't have a rooted ICS
device
to test on).

oh... ok thx

I just played around a little and found out that some more features
are also not working any more. Maybe it would be good to check the
compatibility with ICS for all possible commands.

anyway, thx

Now it works.

Last update seems to fix the ICS problems.
Have tested the Trackball feature and some dialog opens. All worked.

thx for the support
