Would like to use tasker to pull status of smart life smart devices

Hello,

I am using smart life to control my smart life outlets, switches and such, I am want to use tasker to pull the status of the devices on/off and current inside temp, I use ifttt also but have not figured out how to pull the current status of the devices. I am not really wanting to control the devices with Tasker currently just pull the status.

Any help would be great, I have all the auto apps and can use them if it works best.

Do you know if there's an API for that? That'd be the easiest way. Other than that you could try using AutoInput UI Query to get info on the app's screen.

I couldn't find an API, but I am getting an error when I try to pull info I was trying to pull Information from gas buddy as a test and get this error, I did put my password but not sure how or if my login is needed as I am logged in when I start the app.

Good news: there is an API: https://docs.tuya.com/docDetail?code=K8v0h3gsie1b9

Unfortunately I lack the skills to get it to work in tasker. It would be great to be able to read the status of a device and allow Tasker to interact with it. There is a way to do the latter via Tasker and IFTTT, but not the former. +1 for a Tasker plugin for the Tuya platform with its ever increasing array of smart devices!

I've never figured it out, I'm sure there has to be a way, but I have not figured it out.
