Assuming you bought the Market version of Tasker you can go to play.goolge.com and login with your Google account.

Then go to the "My Andoird Apps" Tab, then you should be able to find the Tasker app and uninstall it remotely. Then you can reboot your phone and it should be back to normal.

If you purchased the direct version i'm not sure what you can do as it won't appear in that list.

I have been using this profile with context detecting phone gesture to lock my phone, which works fine for at least couple month. For some reason, I did a Accelerometer calibration couple days ago and I noticed it change the sensor range to 9.99. At night on the same day, I change the range to 5.0 and just after saving the change, tasker locks my screen whenever I turn on the scree. The only reason I can think of is that I miss-typed 5.0 to 500. Is there anyway to disable tasker, or disable that profile without seeing the screen?

I tried to remove Tasker from Device administrator at the very short period After the device reboot and before tasker run, but no luck. Time was too short to make any change. Now I can't use my phone at all =( Please help!!

I am on nexus 4, unroot.

Thanks a looot!

Considering it's a device admin, you can't uninstall it using ADB. I'm not sure if you can just remove the apk, so I'll assume you can't.
However, you might have some luck killing it then deleting its data folder.

I trust you can use Google to figure out how to connect your phone through ADB.
First of all, start the shell:
adb root shell

Try removing the apk directly:
rm /data/app/net.dinglisch.android.taskerm

If that doesn't work:
Killing it can be done using:
kill `pidof net.dinglisch.android.taskerm`

To remove the data folder:
rm /data/data/net.dinglisch.android.taskerm

This should make Tasker harmless. It might FC, in that case, reinstall.

I had something similar where I inadvertently told Tasker to turn off the display as soon as it turned on - always... I was lucky enough to be able to reboot and then as soon as my phone would let me, jump into Tasker and hit the off button before it activated that particular profile. If you haven't tried that, give it a try. You might just have enough time to do that as opposed to trying to remove Tasker from Device Admin.

Thank you all very much for the responses. I see many useful tips! Will try them out.

ps. I was stupid enough to charge my phone over night so now I have to wait it running out of battery and shut down by itself, as I can't even restart my phone without the clicking any option on the screen.

Can you not pull the battery (is the battery non-removable)?  If so, there's usually a button combination you can do to force a reboot.  Google around for your specific device.

You could try googling Resetting your device. That might be some sort of safe mode Available...

Almost always, you can restart the device and there's a safe mode key
combination e.g. hold power+volup) that prevents automatic apps from
starting immediately.
