Hi

I'm trying to build a profile to turn the speakerphone on during a
call when I do some simple action, like pressing the camera button, or
doing a gesture (something like the "tilt 90 degrees to the left and
back to toggle speakerphone during a call"), but I'm not having
success...

My questions:
- When I select the "Phone Offhook" event as the first in a new
profile, I cannnot add another "event" type context (it seems I can
only have one event in a profile-context)...

- I tried also to use the Telephone application as the first context
and the button:camera as the second, but it doesn't seem to recognize
the pressing of the camera button (I have set the priority to highest
and checked the option "stop event", but when I press the camera
button inside the application it does the default Android action -
start the camera -, and not my tasker profile)

I'm I doing something wrong? Does anyone have a sugestion on how to
acomplish such an action?

I'm using Tasker version 1.0.5 in a Samsung Galaxy (Android version
1.5)

Thanks in advance

Jose

I was having the same problem on 1.0.7 on a droid running bb 0.4. I
finally gave up on that particular profile.

Good luck though, I hope someone posts a fix or a suggestion for you.

perhaps this little profile would be useful... it was one of the first
i attempted and is probably a pretty common and easy one.

1. Orientation -> Face Down (or tilted 90 degrees left and back,
whatever works for you)

2. Add Action -> Audio -> Speakerphone -> On

since Speakerphone is only relevant when the phone is active, you
shouln't need an exit task or Phone Offhook property. (i have only
been using Tasker for a few hours and am not 100% sure that what i am
saying is accurate, but it has worked for me without any problems so
far!)

I have tested turning on speakerphone yesterday with various result.

I tried using STATE: Incoming Call, but it can only activate ONCE.
Second incoming call will not turn it on.

Now, I am using EVENT: Phone OffHook, and it works.

I don't know if this is HTC Desire issue.

Hi,

I created a profile which puts your phone to speakerphone when laid
face down during a call.
You need to create three profiles,
1. State: Orientation facedown -> Speakerphone ON (give this one a
name, e.q. "speakerphone")
2. Event: Phone offhook -> tasker, profile status, profile
"speakersphone" ON
3. Event: Phone idle -> tasker, profile status, profile
"speakersphone" OFF

Hope it's a bit of help for you,

greetings

André

I want my phone to be in speaker mode when I am in my car (NFC tag) so I setup a variable %SPEAKER and set it to TRUE when I read the tag (and to off when I connect to my home wifi etc...)

I setup a PhoneOffhook to set the speakerphone to on, and set a condition if on my %SPEAKER variable without success.

Do I need to setup an extra profile ?

Tasker's built-in variable for Speakerphone control is %SPHONE
Set %SPHONE to true to enable speakerphone mode.

Tasker has many built-in variables that are very useful read about them here.

I actually had a look in the help but did not see it. Thanks a lot, will try tonight.

I'm pretty certain you can’t change the value on the Tasker variables. You can check that variable to see if speaker phone is on, but trying to change the variable will fail.

To the OP, I believe I have read from other posts on here that some ROMs do not work with setting the speaker phone (or any other call related  action) while a call is active...

That is not possible. Master variables cannot be modified. Check the link you posted. The info IS there.

Try setting a profile condition based on %PACTIVE ~R (your NFC profile) + Event: Phone OffHook. Action, set speakerphone on.

You're right. I don't know what I was thinking.
