Android 11, tasker wifi tether no longer works

This is an issue new in android 11.  Rooted moto G power.

error is "couldn't enable tether "Service Unavailable".

Action WiFi Tether failed

result stop task (error)

Error 1. 

Anyone run into this aside from myself?

BTW, I do have tasker settings 1.2.0 installed.

Hi. Did you try toggling Wifi Tether manually when that error occurred? Does that work? That is normally an indication that the tethering is not available at all on the phone at the moment.

Yes I can toggle on/off via quick settings just fine. I did try  turn off wifi when tether enabled as well but the same error occurs.  Also, my task to turn off the wifi tether is also not working.  That task does not generate an error and show a green dot (completed) but it takes about 15 seconds which is also abnormal.  So no on or off of wifi tether for me.via tasker :(

Sorry, I'm confused, you say that the task shows a green icon, but the screenshot shows an error. Can you please clarify? Thanks

The turn off of tether showed a green icon, the turn on of hotspot did not.  I believe it was some anomaly w/ my phone.  I forget what I did to fix it at this point but it was a permission error(Or lack of)
