> I saw that I could create an exit task for a particular application, but if I understand correctly that task will trigger every time I exit the app,
Correct
not only during my morning routine.
You just need to set some restrictions in the exit task so it will stop if you are not in your morning routine. For example.
Exit task:
1. Stop ; If %TIME > 8
2. Do exit task stuff
This will stop the task if the time is between 8:00 am an 24.00 (12:00 pm)
That is just one small example. You can also stop it if certain profiles are active with the %PACTIVE variable.
If you need help please post what you have so far and a detailed description of what you are looking for. This is of course after reading the user guide and watching the available videos... you can also search this group for info on specific topics..
To post your profile or task here... Long press on the profile or task name / ( 3 dot menu with 4.0+ ) export / export description to clipboard (not XML)
Any linked tasks will be exported with the profile they are linked to..
The beginner mode needs to be off and the profile needs to have a name to be able to export.
I think i got my a-ha! Moment :)
I added a global variable that is set to 1 by the alarm clock and to 0 by the last profile/task of the routine. That way morning profiles check for the variable instead of the time and are triggered only once per day.
Thanks a lot for your hints, indeed a better look at the documentation was the right thing to do! And following the examples now I have some good automation already set!
Cheers from Italy!
