Failed to init media recorder

Trying to use the call recorder action on htc desire and doesn't
matter what option I select when I click on Test I get a warning
'Failed to init media recorder'.

Does anybody know if the call recorder htc desire.

Has anybody been able to record calls using Tasker or am
misunderstanding the Record Audio action?

I would try it on the microphone source first, a lot of hardware
doesn't support the other sources.

Does that one also give an error ?

Oh, I would stop Tasker completely after a failed attempt in case the
recorder is left in a bad state.

Errors/Warnings, you might
find the reason why it failed when you go back to Tasker's UI after
trying the action.

HI ! i had the same error so google brought me here searching for
"Failed to init media recorder" and i read to enable the log .. so

eheh the solution was so dumb, if the folder doesen't exist (shantz is
the folder) it returns an error. But i have another problem, it seems
not to recognize the variables in the filename: call-%CNUM-%CDATE-
%CTIME.3gp i have this now

Looking again at the screenshot I noticed the path includes '/mnt/
sdcard/'. As Tasker defaults to saving to the SD Card have you tried
just using /shantz/%CNUM-%CDATE-%CTIME ?

It refers to calls but the principle is the same.

Uninitialized user-variables which have not had a value assigned do
not have replacements carried out i.e once they have been initialized
(e.g. in testing) they should work fine thereafter.
