I use IFTTT for tons of stuff, and using it to trigger tasker tasks really opens up the IoT.  For the most part, I use pushbullet to trigger the tasks.  However, I have a few IFTTT triggers that I want to include a value in the trigger.  In other words, I want to send Tasker a message with some information and have Tasker turn that information into a variable.

I have tried pushbullet for this, but enabling pushbullet to copy all notifications to the clipboard, but this doesn't seem to work for pushes from IFTTT since the push isn't from "me"

I have tried to send just a simple IFTTT notification and have tasker read %NTITLE, but this variable doesn't seem to update like it should (%NTITLE still reads on old notification I got earlier in the day).

Any other thoughts?

I think in the next version Tasker will be much more reliable reading the notifications, in the meanwhile you can use Notification Listener plugin.

Yes, using the Notification event and the various local variables associated next update (%evtprm1 = title, %evtprm3 = subtext etc) will be much more reliable.

The beta should be available latest end of next week.
