Hi!

I have created a widget from the task toggling some profile. It works. But I'd want to get visual feedback of the current profile state. That is to get some way to assign to the created widget two icons for active and inactive the profile states.

How to?

Try "Set Widget Icon". Its located in the "Tasker" commands area.

I have tried the first step - just to add to the task the action
you have pointed to without any conditions. But on searching for
the widget I get "Warning: no named widgets on homescreen" message
(while there is one).

Also I have tried direct label entering, but nothing happens on
tapping on the widget.

Aha, I have found the reason an icon wasn't set. I have selected "Task Shortcut" among Taskter's widgets instead of "Task" one. With "Task" widget action to set widget icon does work.

The thing is, I need label-less widget, and "Task Shortcut" gives me it. But icon settings doesn't work at this case. I have tried to find the way for action to change task's (rather widget's) icon, but wasn't lucky yet.

did you read the help file? sure seems to be what you are asking for about checking if active or not.
