Do I hire a software developer or is there hope?

Hello lovely people,

 I was hoping someone more knowledgeable could help me or guide me in the right direction. I believe tasker CAN solve the problem but I'm not entirely sure. 

I run a small business online and am hoping to be able to automate a simple task. It would speed up my entire operation massively. I'd like a string of text to be copied out of an app when I click a button inside that app and sent to a different app like google sheets. 

To be more specific, Amazon has an extremely powerful AI photo lookup function that produces a list of potential matches based on the photo you take. Once you select one of the matches, a product information page is produced which contains a unique ASIN for that product. Being able to port that ASIN between a few different devices instantaneously would be massively helpful for my business. 

It seems like tasker has this functionality but I don't really know how to take advantage of it. Would anyone be willing to help? Or at least point me toward a better solution?

There could be a number of ways to do this but for example:

• Create a bubble that could always be available to click
• When that number is on the screen clicking the bubble would make AutoInput UI Query get the text on the screen
• Use Join to send the number to other devices (if you want to do Google Sheets you can use the Sheets API in Tasker)

Several ways this can be done with tasker.  You mentioned Google sheets then you mentioned just sending text to multiple devices.  Can you just text the text string to the other devices? In other words just automate Select Text -> Share -> Messages -> Group Text  or perhaps share to Email.   Another instantaneous option would be if you shared the clipboard of all the devices using the app 'Join'.  I have this set up for just 2 devices and it never seems to fail me. Anything copied in one device is instantly copied to the other devices clipboards. So with a simple clipboard manager you can then paste it from a list on any of the devices. If Google sheets works best for you then this is possible as well.  Can you post one of these codes? If they have a unique identity to them then it might be easy to just monitor your clipboard and when it matches one of these codes that can be the trigger to send to all devices.

Sure, here are some sample codes. They can be numerical or can contain letters and numbers but they are always the same number of characters (10).

To be more specific about sharing the number across a few devices, let me explain first what would be ideal. I have two other devices I would like to send this ASIN to. One is running an app in Android and the other is running a windows application. Both of them need the ASIN to be input in order to bring up product information related to that ASIN. So IDEALLY the solution I'm looking for would 'see' the ASIN when I choose a listing in device 1 and then paste that ASIN into the inputs of device 2 and 3. 

A slower but simpler option I think would be to have device 1 physically print a barcode label containing the ASIN that could then be scanned into device 2 and 3. So a way that could work would be to send that ASIN to google sheets which can convert it into a barcode format and then print. That's why I brought up google sheets. But maybe there's an easier/better way?

Everything was sounding fine until you mentioned that 7 letter word..   'windows'.   I really have little experience with windows and absolutely no experience with sharing data between Android and Windows.  I did try to get join working on my Windows 10 laptop but could not get the clipboards to sync. I basically got frustrated and quit. hopefully some was more experience with transferring data between Android and Windows could chime in with a suggestion.
