usb serial arduino communication plugin

Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow me to talk to a arduino via the USB serial of a android device ?

I understand it may be possible via sl4a python script.

I am also trying to figure out how to communicate between my droid and my arduino (but over bluetooth). What I've done is built a simple android app that communicates with the arduino via bluetooth (or in your case, usb) and use tasker to emulate button touching in that app. It's a dirty way of doing it, but it works. Hopefully someone is working on integrating Arduino and Tasker somehow.

Adding a plugin component to your app is probably easier than the code you've already written:

Alternatively, if the code is easily segmentable, you could comment it and I'll have a look if it can be built in
to Tasker. It would have to be pretty child-proof however, since I don't have an Arduino for testing.

Wow a plugin for serial over USB or Bluetooth would be amazing for tasker being able to control Arduino devices means anything is possible.

Love the idea over USB serial as it will power the arduino device.
