Hello,

Is it possible to use tasker to disable PUSH and Fetch schedules for
my work email account after 6PM and on the weekends, then re-enable it
during the work day?

If not, is it possible to simply disable notification of new emails
for that one particular account during a specified time frame?

Thanks,
Casey

Nope. You might be able to disable sync of the account via the Synker
plugin.
I've never used it though, it might only be for all email.

Probably not. The problem is that Android has no email API yet.

Continuing Pent's answer:

1) you could try Synker - however, you'd need to have the sync disabled for that account all the time and then use Synker (e.g. via Tasker) during working hours to "kick" synchronization,
2) if it's only about notification sound, you can pick some custom ringtone from your sd card as a notification sound and while not at work - replace the file with some "silence-only" one,
3) last idea - most time consuming to implement, but probably the best one (assuming you use a separate client for your work email) - use DroidWall and block the exchange app from network when not at work (use LocaleExecute/Secure Settings/Run Shell actions to switch between configurations).

Update:

it seems that the latest update to Synker (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.afterhoursdevelopers.android.synker&hl=en) gives an ability to turn on/off synchronization for particular sync providers (not only "kicking" the sync). This requires a paid version of the Synker though (haven't bought it, haven't tried it).

I need this because I'm on call for work email and want to leave notification volume cranked up while disabling gmail notification while I'm sleeping.  I purchased Synker and just tested the tasks and they work like a champ.
