Ive noticed its not possible to position a Vertical slider at the edge of the screen (Left or right)

I added a horizontal brightness slider and resized it so it nearly touches the left and right sides of the screen with about a 1cm gap both sides, which works and resizes as expected, but then I changed its orientation to rotated left then I tried to reposition it on the left side of the screen but the way the resizing works I have to drag the left and right sides to make the bar of the slider (What the handle slides along) bigger which forces the slider to stay in the middle of the screen and resize upwards, Its hard to word so if this doesn't make sense i can make a video or sum screenshots. This also happens if I make a new slider orientated left or right.

If its a quick fix i would really appreciate it if you could fix it for the next release.

Note: I had this problem on the older UI version aswell and with the following devices all large screens so maybe that's the problem unfortunately I don't own anything smaller so I can't test.

Galaxy Note 2
Acer A200
Nexus 7
Note 10.1

Would you happen to have some app that provides a Pie or a Sidebar? It might be grabbing input.

I think you're saying that when you try to resize the element, instead it moves. Or vice versa.

Try using the teddy bear button in the scene editor. it switches the editor action from "normal" to either "resize" or "move".

Yeah, I watched, still not sure.

Maybe you can try rotating the slider first, then try to resize it, then position it.

Ah, you changed dpi? Maybe you need to uninstall Tasker, reset dpi to stock, and then reinstall Tasker.

That didn't do anything either I think its something to do with screen resolution, I'll bring it up again when pents working on the scenes.

Just a suggestion.... but I've noticed somethings don't look right whilst creating a scene until you click the little button in the bottom right corner, (the one that shows how the scene will actually look once displayed.) then click it again to go back to the editor and see if its still bugged. I find I have to do this a lot with text and when rounding corners or adding boarders to elements.

I'm also having trouble with this misfeature.  For all who don't understand what we're talking about:  Just try to place a long vertical slider (i. e. rotated left or right) directly on the left or right border of the scene.  It won't work because the geometry box of the slider is determined before the rotation takes place, so a long slider always has a wide geometry box, even if it is rotated and therefore optically thin but high.  The rotation's centre is in the middle of the widget, so the vertical thin slider then is in the middle of a wide geometry box which prevents ot from being placed right at the left or right corner of the scene.

That's a pity because I think that a vertical slider right at the right corner would be perfect for handling it with my right thumb.  Because of this wart in Tasker I have to stretch my thumb into the sc(r)ene to reach that vertical slider.

I'd propose to fix that issue by using the geometry box which fits the rotated slider.  The current situation seems to me like a bug, actually.

Cheers, Alfe

Jay M, can you give me any hint, any keywords (just "vertical slider" didn't get me anything) or maybe even a direct URL to anything Pent said on this?  I searched, but I didn't find anything in the group.  Any help would be appreciated!
