Tasker on Xiaomi Mi box (Android TV)

Is there a guide about how to install it on this Android TV box (nougat)

Installing tasker on my phone is a breeze but with Mi box there are navigation issues, not compatible apps on google play, missing settings on box...etc

It would be great if somebody put together a step by step guide

the apps not built for TVs it works on there and is usable but it is like you said, I have 2 Android TVs and use Tasker on both i've asked a couple times about swapping the actionbar for a toolbar which should fix the navigation which is the main problem, dunno what you mean by missing settings box but to get into the settings I had to make a task to do it because the normal way to do it through the overflow isn't possible because the actions don't show up on the actuonbar.

As for compatable apps that's a Gplay thing most plugins have to be sideloaded and usually the actionbars are missing actions.

Well, I can not get it to work only run into problems. 

If I enable accessibility for tasker then the remote changes and it send a long press when I do a short press. So every time I click an app on the homescreen, it shows me the context menu instead of opening the app. This is a PITA.

Navigating is excruciating on the app even using a keyboard/mouse. I am not able to invoke action bar no matter what.

All I wanted to do was to be able to remotely change the user profile to restricted through tasker. 
I give up. I also came across automate app that seem to be more friendly to android TV.
