How to use Tasker to Pin and app

Hello,

I am using Tasker on Android 13 and there are times when I open specific apps that I would like Tasker to automatically Pin the app.  I got as far as having Tasker showing the recently running apps, but I could not figure out how to get Tasker to Pin one of them.

I tried AutoInput, but failed to find a solution (but I'm a novice at using AutoInput).

I think you will need to have your launcher that your are using to be able to cooperate with this. It probably will not be easily done, and will vary depending on your launcher.

If I was implementing something like this, I would create a tasker widget/shortcut that presents a list of the last n applications run in a list dialog box, and then run the app that is then selected.

Thank you for your response.  I'm using the Pixel Launcher on a Pixel 7 Pro.  So perhaps that is why I'm having issues.  That is, maybe my launcher is not cooperative.

I am close, so maybe that's good enough.  That is, I can get to the point where the task various things and then is showing recently running apps, and I have to do manually is pick the app in question and Pin it.
