I have a couple of BT Near profiles that I have written but I am puzzled by a behavior that I have started seeing.  Every 30 seconds or so I get a little popup message (not a tasker popup but a system popup) that says "Bluetooth:on".  Then 30 seconds later I get a popup that says "Bluetooth:off".  I have traced it to Tasker (seems logical).  If I turn off those profiles the behavior continues until I disable Tasker.  When I re-enable Tasker with the profiles off it does not do that.  When I turn on those profiles the behavior comes back.  I have two profiles that look for two different connections (two cars)

This causes a couple of problems:
1) I am tired of seeing those stupid popup notifications.
2) Sometimes when I am actually near the BT source the phone will connect to the source and then the BT will disable and cut it off.  It will continue to connect then disable until I stop it by putting on the BT manually.

Questions:
1) Is that normal for BT Near condition.  I guess I could understand if Tasker turned on BT looked around for the device and then shut off.  But I thought it did that in the background.
2) Is there a way to turn off that popups?
3) Am I using the BT Near condition correctly?

Thanks for the help.

just a guess, but it looks like you are using a task that checks for bluetooth, and then turns it off - so I would review that task and run it and look at the log files and see if it is behaving as you would like.

also, check in that profile if the Restore Setting is on
(Long press your profile, click the sliders ICON and uncheck Restore Settings.)
