Can I delete a scene element with scene interaction?

I'm trying to have a text field that has text in there, that disappears when you click and put focus on it.

This is easy "element text" and "replace existing" but one of the fields I am trying to do this with is a password. The text in there is converted to dots, so the only way I see around it is to have another element in front of it and to delete it on a tap. 

Any help appreciated
