I just got my first Android phone (Nexus 4) after having an iPhone for years. I came across Tasker and I'm trying to figure out if something is possible.

I am the type of person to sleep through anything. So I have 3 alarms configured in the JB alarm application. One for 4:30, one for 5:45 and one for 6. Right now, every night I turn all three on and in the morning I turn them off. I turn them off because sometimes I wake up at the 4:30 one and sometimes I wake up at the 5:45 one. So if I wake up at the 4:30 one then if I don't turn the other two off they will go off.

So I am trying to figure out if I can use Tasker to automate this.

This is how *I THINK* it would work but I'm not sure how to configure this:

  • Profile 1 - Enable Alarms
    • Contexts
      • Connected to my home's Wi-Fi
      • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (I only work Tuesday to Friday so I only need to turn the alarms on the night before)
      • At 10 PM
    • Actions
      • Set alarm for 4:30 AM
      • Set alarm for 5:45 AM
      • Set alarm for 6 AM
  • Profile 2 - Disable All Alarms
    • I have no clue how to do this?!?

Does Profile 1 look right and can anyone help me with Profile 2?

I don't think Tasker can turn off alarms, only set them. (Someone correct me if I am wrong) I use Gentle Alarm that installs a 3rd party action for Tasker. It allows me to create contexts for different alarm events (Begin, Snoozed,Dismissed, for either a named alarms or all of them). You can also turn off either a named or all alarms. So in your case you could create an Alarm dismissed context and your tasks would turn all alarms off.
