Hi

What I want is if we say "hey Google". Google assistant opens and tasker task should trigger without saying "ask autovoice" I knew it can be done by using auto input by clicking on Google key board and write ask autovoice and send before saying command

But don't know how to implement it

Thanks

I am doing this with a combination of Join and IFTTT.
There is a tutorial made by Joao on his website.
It works just perfect 👌

Yes it is immediate, as long as you have a network connection. That is the only caveat I think...

Are you receiving the push in Join?

No

No I am not receiving the join push text

Does the Join API work for you if not used through IFTTT?

Viki Malik

Yes it works

João Dias

Then the issue is in your IFTTT setup :)

So.... What do you recommend

Checking the URL you used in IFTTT

I think url is correct

On a general note...

I find it quite a pain to have to update the device number each time I reset the phone and reinstall Join...

The same phone is seen as a different device by Join... And I have to go through all IFTTT triggers to update the device number... A real pain...

Is there a way to overcome this?
Maybe I missed something?

Just use the device name instead of id :) That way you can keep the same URL between installs.

Hi João

I am getting (updating push history notification for a fraction of second in the notification bar)

But nothing happens after that

So you ARE getting the Join push from IFTTT afterall?

Yes

I redo everything and use my device name on joinappspot in device name list

Oh great :)

So you're getting the push but Tasker is not responding?

Yes I think uploading push history means I am getting the join push. Right

Yes tasker is not responding

Can you please try this version and make sure you're on the Tasker beta?  Thanks

I was on tasker beta but open file action, disable Tasker to name a few didn't worked so I revert back to regular version

Please read my previous post

I did read it :) But it would be great if you could try the beta.

Viki Malik

But my other tasks which use action (open file) stop working

Open File will be fixed for the next beta. Sorry about that.

So what do you suggest should I wait for that or is there any other way to send natural language command to tasker through Google assistant

Thanks

Did you try using AutoVoice?

Looki75

With Autovoice don't you have to say the "Autovoice" prefix prior to each command?

João Dias

Yes, but you can create shortcuts (now called routines) to bypass that in some cases.

It's almost the same as shortcuts only you can add multiple actions. Give it a try, it's not hard :)
