Hi,

I bought myself an airdock at theairdock.com.
It allows for wireless charging and uses magnets and 'microsuction' to attach the phone to the dock.

Is there a way to detect if it is attached to the dock (using the magnets) ?. I do not always power the charger, as my battery does not need to be charged always.

Try the Docked state.

Does the Android UI shows signs of changing to docked mode ?

Yes, use profile state: sensor > magnetic field.

The field strength will need refined for proper context activation.

Hope this helps.

Trier that magnetic field yesterday, and it seems to work.
Is there any info about battery consumption?

Surprises me :-)

Shouldn't be too bad.

If you want it to work while the device is off, you need to set the appropriate setting in Prefs / Monitor.
