Samsung Devices: Profiles Lost After Reboot

If you have a Samsung phone and your profiles are getting lost after a
reboot, this XDA post is very informative:

Summary:

- it's not unique to Tasker, could happen with any app
- a factory reset should fix it (minimally until a reinstall)
- if you have a rooted device, you can also fix it (see instructions
in the post)

That eXtorian guy gets around ;) Flattered my post is a sticky.

It's also worth noting that this bug was fixed in later versions of
Android on the Samsung Galaxy S. At least, for me, 2.3.4 never had
this problem. I'm not sure about 2.2, I just can't remember :) I
noticed it in 2.1.
