I have a tablet that I use exclusively in my kitchen and I want a convenient way to wake up the screen when anyone walks into the kitchen, turns on the light, etc., but using the front camera and motion detection (or light sensor?).  I have a Transformer TF300T so I'm assuming I have that.

Can tasker be made to do this?  I tried looking through what documentation I could find and I did find some references that imply it might could be done, but no specifics.

If anyone has any idea how I could make this work with tasker, I'd be happy to purchase it and use it.
Thanks

Yes

Try searching this group for motion detection / detector . This has been discussed a few times for your exact needs.

This app:

can trigger an intent when it detects motion. and Tasker can respond to that event.
Tasker can also use an intent to turn the app on or off.

I have used it in the way you describe.

Steve, I'd be willing to download motion detector too if you wouldn't mind outlining (or detailing?) the steps you went through to make this work.
It sounds like I need two apps to make this work.

Thanks
