Beta + Cell near= low battery

Hi Pent!

I installed the new beta 4 days ago.

I used to have a cell near profile for my home. And in the previuos versions I had the know issue of the standby (after 20/30 minutes of standby the device "loses" the cell and the task exits.)

With the beta now I think that don't have anymore that problem, but my battery goes down too too fast.

Ex: i charged it all night till 9:00 am this morning. Now (15:00 pm) battery is at 30%.

I sent 2 sms, had a 10 minutes call and always stayed at home (wifi was on but I didn't use it). I didn't play, installed apps or anything

Are those two things linked?

Tomorrow I'll try with cell near off and I'll report the results here.

It's possible. There's a workaround I enable when the Cell Near check
starts, maybe it's not being disabled.

Chuck BetterBatteryStats on as well (if you don't already), and then dump the log file (from the menu) and review that - it shows a lot more information and might give you some hints as to whats happening.

As an example my batterylife at work was terrible, and after reviewing the log we concluded that the wlan_rx wakelock kept triggering, stopping the phone from deep sleeping. This was due to all the broadcast messages on the LAN at work. Soon as I switched off WiFi and left it on mobile data (even with a crappy signal), the battery life doubled!

Try again with the new beta. There was a bug with Cell Near in the
last one.
