hello, new user of tasker and so on.

I want to scan a QR code to start a task. So I tried Autobarcode. Not succesfull. I followed all the tutorials I could find but they all end with the last step: run Autobarcode app and scan..... But how to run de Autobarcode app??? I open the app an screen opens with info about Autobarcode, how to buy it (I did that), something about achievements and so on...but no scanner opens to scan a QR code. If I use a QR scanner nothing happens... I like tasker, I managed to create some tasks but this one (Autobarcode) is hopeless (and payed twice for it: Autobarcode and AutobarcodeLite).

So question: how to run Autobarcode app as the tutorials say?

thank you

You have to use the AutoBarcode action in Tasker :) That'll start the scan.
If you want some new features try the beta which is pretty stable!

I still don't understand. I saw in a tutorial movie that someone scans a QR code and that starts a task.

So this what I have in mind: Autobarcode in Profile -> state -> plugin -> Autobarecode (configure autobarcode) -> use a QR scanner -> scan an selfmade QR code with a condition -> a task is opened (example: launch an app).

How do I configure Autobarcode so that a task is opened after a QR code is scanned? I cannot find a tutorial for this: they all end with: run Autobarcode app...

If there is a tutorial, please refer to it. I don't mind to figure things out ...

Aha... found something: three dots, more, run an action -> plugin -> autobarcode -> opens qr scanner -> condition is met -> app is launched

so now: how to do this without opening Tasker, and do this...but: a shortcut do this...

Add a widget to your home screen. Select AutoBarcode scan for the widget. When you hit that icon from your home screen then it will open the app so you can do a scan.
