How much battery will %LOC every 15 minutes over 12 hours consume

Will writting %LOC (network and GPS) to a file every 15 minutes over
12 hours kill my battery?

The GPS will make a noticeable hit, I wouldn't say 'kill'.

BTW, I'm setting LOC and LOCN to two custom variables and then
writting them.. sometiems it writes a coordinate, sometimes it does
not. Would you know why?
