I set a lock code on my daughter's Tasker app but I forgot it. Is there a way to get back into it?

If I uninstall and restore a backup will it immediately ask me for the code upon completion of the restore? Will I be able to get to settings to remove the lock code without the code?

Is the lock code buried somewhere in the app's files that can be accessed on a rooted device?

Checking the device's files indicates that there are no backups for this device. I found a thread where a user found a workaround into the UI by lonpressing on the icon>edit task>got into the app. Joao released an update that fixes that backdoor. Wonder if I can downgrade to that version before the fix was implemented?

You hadn't enabled backup to Google Drive on that device had you?

I don't think I have cloud save set up. I don't have much Tasker stuff on that device, but I don't want to try to recreate it all.

Check if you have a file in /data/data/net.dinglisch.android.taskerm/files/autobackup.xml

I mis-typed the detail about the device's root status. It is not rooted.
