Do you mean export all your tasker data or just profiles?

To export all tasker data : menu / back up

yes, but when it gets to the tablet, tasker says it can not open that kind of file.  I changed the share.txt to share.xml  still nothing.

Be safe; get prepared.

After a back up you should find a "userbackup.xml". In the Tasker folder.  It should not be a .txt file.

I don't want to overwrite my tablet, I want to import.

Can you long press the first profile, then click the menu button, then select all, then the menu button again, then export, then XML to SD? I think that might export each profile separately so you can import them separately.

no Sir, that did not work either.  it tells me I can not export unnamed profiles.  I do not have any unnamed profiles, but that is still what it said.

Be safe; get prepared.

Tasker assigns an "identifier" to profiles that are not named and is discriptive of the first context.  Long press on the profile then press the "A" at the top of the screen.  This is where you enter an actual name.

all of mine are named.  I have the preference set where I can't create a new profile without naming it.

I believe that is a general warning so you realize no unnamed profiles will be exported. All your named profiles should get exported.

"all of mine are named. I have the preference set where I can't create a new profile without naming it."

They may very will be named but I am not aware of any preference that forces you to name profiles.  There is a preference to "Ask For New Profile Name" but it does not force you to do so.  Simply tapping the checkmark will allow you to continue without naming the profile.

Scan through the userbackup.xml and look for anon. This will be present on all unnamed profiles and tasks.

All you need is to put all relevant profiles in a project (long press on HOME icon and select “Add”). Then you can export and import a project.
