I have made a simple app for a friend using the app factory, and would like to put it on the market.  I thought it would be nice to put one of my adsense ads in the app.  When I do a webview element, it shows the ad when I'm in tasker, but as soon as I export it as an app, it comes up white. I have other text on the page that displays in the web element, and the ad will display when viewing the page on a web browser. Has anyone found a way to get around this?

Just to double check: you can have two WebViews in the scene, one with
an ad and one without, and the 'without' page displays OK ?

Could you paste the two bits of HTML or URLs please ?

Thanks,

No, I only put one web view element in a scene. When I view the scene in tasker, I can see the ad, but once I export it to an app, the ad won't display. If I put text on the actual page, it will show in the app, and in tasker. It's just the ad that won't display in an exported app

I don't see anything in firefox either. Looks like there's a
redirection involved somewhere too.

I just checked the link in firefox, and I'm seeing the ad.  I know that adsense will require access for their crawler, but I put the page open to the public so it should be able to see the page.

Do you have an adblocker app installed on your phone?

With Adblock plus enabled, the link doesn't show anything. But with it disabled, it takes a while before it stops loading. Still doesn't show anything. That could be your problem?

I don't have any kind of adblocker on my phone. I have it on my pc on chrome, but I've disabled it for my domain. If I view the page on my phone's browser, I can see the ad there.

Ooops that was why I couldn't see it on my laptop :-)

I'll see if I can reproduce it when I get the chance, it may be a few
weeks, sorry.

Just spotted this post.

I was trying this today and got the same results.

Adsense code held in external html file on my phone, and loaded into a WebView on a scene.

Ad does not show in Tasker, but does show in a browser.

Test file by adding a character into the html and it is being loaded correctly, just the ads arent showing

Just to add to this, the "magnifying glass" search button doesn't work when you select "File" for a WebView scene element.

Maybe it requires HTML5 features ? I'm going to add a toggle for those
next version.
