I must be missing something obvious here...

From within the variables tab, In the new UI only the variables relevant to the project selected our shown. This is a great new feature however, I cannot figure out how to see a list of all of the global variables in tasker.

I'm almost certain (having only recently upgraded from GB) this has always been the case since projects were introduced.  Not sure if there's a way to see ALL global variables from every project at once.

H,mmm..  I would say... " I'm almost certain (having only recently upgraded from GB) this was never the case in GB....  :)

Fortunately, I still have tasker and GB on my old device at home, I will  check tonight to which one it really is...

I do not ever remember starting a project and only seeing a few variables....

Anyway I think It would be a great feature if it is possible...

That looks cool...A lot more than what i was after though... I simply want a list of all  user global variables...

If I recall precisely, any global variable that has a value shows in every project.  Any empty global variables only show in the project they're referenced in.  Maybe that's why, starting a new with Tasker on JB, everything is more sparse because you have fewer populated global variables?

Thanks for the precise info Matt.

Not surprising.... %100 correct...  :)

I think the best I can claim is %50 correct... :(

So.....   @Pent... would it be possible to get this option back....  I found it very useful  ....

Thanks,  Rich...

Assuming Matt is right (I can't remember myself), I think it makes most sense that way.

Why do you need to see variables without a value that are only referenced in a particular
project, all in a big list ?

The whole point of projects is compartmentalizing things to improve the overview.

OK, I have to accept that you would like to do that, but I'm not going to work on
somehow integrating it in the UI unless a huge wave of user opinion supporting
it crashes over me.

He is correct, And I agree it makes the most sense.

Sorry, I was not clear with my request. Unless I am way off, this is not how It currently is. I am running Version: 4.2u3m

I can not see all the variables that have values from within any of the project tabs. I can only see the variables for that specific project.

I was just asking to for the same behavior as in gingerbread.

Thanks again...  Rich.
