I'm running the latest Tasker beta on my rooted Android 11 device (crDroid.v7.25). I'm also running the latest Termux and Termux:Tasker  that I got from the recommended source, F-Droid.

All Tasker and Termux and Termux:Tasker permissions are set to be allowed.

However, when I try to insert a Plugin=>Termux:Tasker action inside of a task, I always get this error: missing, disabled, no exported or no permission receiver, or too many receivers .

I haven't tried Termux:Tasker for a long time, but I vaguely remember that it used to work in the past (earlier versions of Tasker and Termux:Tasker).

Is anyone else getting this same error when trying to insert a Termux:Tasker action?

Thank you in advance.

OK. I found this discussion on the Termux github site:

https://github.com/termux/termux-tasker/issues/41

That discussion took place approximately 2 years ago. Has there been any fix or workaround for this problem since then? I'd very much like to use the Termux:Tasker plugin, if possible.

I seem to remember having a problem at one point.  I'm currently running A12 and successfully using Termux:Tasker.  There are a couple of other possibilities of you want a work around.  My devices are rooted so it's possible to just call a termux script directly form a "run shell" action.  Someone in the last few years, João added an action tasker -> tasker function -> termux.

As I write this, it seems to me the problem you are experiencing might be due to play store restrictions affecting Termux.  IIRC, development stopped on the play store version due to these limitations and your solution might just be to use the supported GitHub version

Aha! ... concerning Tasker=>Tasker Function=>Termux Command  . Thank you very much!

Oh, I just tried it, but it errors out with Not allowed to start service. Intent { act=com.termux.RUN_COMMAND cmp=com.termux.RunCommandService (has extras) } without permission com.termux.permission.RUN_COMMAND

I'm using the recommended F-Droid version of Termux, by the way, not the Play Store version.  But now I'll check on github, in case there's yet another version there.

I just now tried the github version. It's indeed newer than the F-Droid version.

However, it's giving me the same error, sadly.

The error tells you what is wrong:
      without permission com.termux.permission.RUN_COMMAND

Thank you. That fixed it! ... and I had to set a few more permissions.

But now it works!
