Hi,

Does anyone know if its possible to send a vibrate command to the Sony Smartwatch 2 from Tasker? I use a widget for notifications on the watch itself which the text is sent via a tasker variable so would be useful to send a vibrate command at the same time so i know when a notification comes in!

After much searching i have managed to find the intent that controls the vibration is Control.Intents.CONTROL_VIBRATE_INTENT Im guessing this goes in the 'action' section of send intent in Tasker but i have no idea what else to put in the other boxes!

Can anyone help?

Can you post a link to where you found that intent?

I don't know if you can use that intent just as a normal intent from Tasker. You could try the intent in the action field and leave everything else blank/default. Target would probably be broadcast receiver. I would think the intent would need to be sent from an app specifically designed to communicate with the watch, though.

From what I've read and with a very basic knowledge I think everything goes via sw2 app anyway. There has to be 2 apps, one on the watch which acts as the receiver and one on the phone which acts as the transmitter. I was hoping by sending the right intent to the sw2 phone app it would pass it on to the watch. I might be barking up completely the wrong tree though! Bit gutting as I've got a 'android wear' type setup on my sw2 now and this would of been the finishing touch!
