Hello all, I am sure this has been asked before but for the life of me I cannot find the answer.

I want to create a task widget, so on press it will open a local help.html file in the default Internet browser. I have tried the Net>Browse URL option, to no avail. It will work with a www, but not with file/// Help please! Thank you!

Try with file/open file/ by local you mean the files saved on the phone right?

Path to file

Mime type text/html.

Indeed Jay, thanks for that, it worked!! Yes, it is a internal memory .html.

How do I get to open it with a specific browser though? Thanks again!

Try app/load app/your browser/

And in the data field put the path to the file.

Untested but I think it will work.

Sorry Jay it does not. It will launch the Internet app but will not load any page, internal or ex_eternal...

I'm outta ideas, I was just messing about trying to get it to work and I noticed when it asked me what app I wanted to open the file in,  the default browser wasn't even in the list by default browser you mean the stock browser right?

Yup, the default browser does not even appear in the list, this is why I want to force the page to open with it...

Here's how to open in chrome:
A1: Send Intent [ Action:android.intent.action.VIEW Cat:Browsable Mime Type:text/html Data:file:///sdcard/Test.html Extra: Extra: Package:com.android.chrome Class:com.google.android.apps.chrome.Main Target:Activity ]

Or in the default browser:
A1: Send Intent [ Action:android.intent.action.VIEW Cat:Browsable Mime Type:text/html Data:file:///sdcard/Test.html Extra: Extra: Package:com.android.browser Class:com.android.browser.BrowserActivity Target:Activity ]
